Charlotte Becker  joins Wiggle Honda Team

Former German road race Champion leave Argos- Shimano ad joins Wiggle Honda

After leaving Specialized Lululemon, Becker joined Argo-shimano for the 2013 season. Becker was not settled and after discussions with the team she joined the list of riders available for the half season contract shift. Becker stated on twitter, "I am looking forward for tomorrow evening #IGNocturne first race for me in London with Wiggle Honda Team."

Becker is one of the teams most experienced riders, having turned professional in 2007 as a member of the German Equipe Nürnberger. Since her professional debut, Becker has been a regular feature on the strongest women’s professional cycling teams including Cervelo, HTC-Highroad and Specialized-lululemon. 

The 30 year old German has accumulated an impressive list of palmares in her professional career. Her most noticeable results include 2012 Team Time Trial World Champion as a member of the Specialized-Lululemon team, multiple German National Champion on both track and road and U23 European Points Race Track Cycling Champion. In addition to her championship medals, Becker has claimed many prestigious titles on the road which include the 2010 Valladolid Road World Cup, the 2008 Holland Ladies Tour, and stage victories in races such as Thüringen Rundfahrt, Trophee D’Or, Tour de L’Aude, Albstadt and Giro della Toscana. 

Becker’s longevity in the sport is a testament to her exceptional capabilities. Charlotte is an excellent all-rounder, capable of achieving results on a large variety of terrain, and will play a valuable role in the team’s success for the remainder of the season. Becker joins the Wiggle Honda Pro Cycling team after it was announced that the current Team Time Trial World Champion was set to part ways with Argos-Shimano midway through the 2013 season.
