Stage 4 -Longo-Borghini wins final stage, Johansson wins overall.

Longo Borghini (Hitec) won the final tough stage after 88km of undulating
wet roads,in heavy rain again.
Evelyn Stevens (specialized Lululemon) was second ahead of the overnight
leader Emma Johansson (Orica-AIS). With her third place, Johansson secured
her third win of the tour and the overall title. Orica-AIS also won the team
three categorised climbs (one cat three and two cat two) the race stated at
a steady pace for the first 5km. At the front of the peloton Orica-AIS
stretched out peloton and marked the constant moves that were trying to go

and Loes Gunnewijk worked hard for Orica-AIS to keep an eye on the early

ahead of Adrie Visser (Boels Dolmans) and Marianne Vos (Rabo Women).

arrived, Van de Breggen was first ahead of Longo Borghini, and Johansson. As

Go Finland), Stevens and Van Dijk, Anouska. Koster (Team Futurumshop),Noemi
Cantele and Alena Amialiusik (BePink), Guarnier lead and Van De Breggen.
break worked well together as they approached 5km to the first of the three
categorised climbs with 48km to go. Stevens set a fast tempo up the category
three climb, causing break to split. Johansson went with her along with
Longo Borgini and Van De Breggen. The first GPM went to Longo Borghini, with
Stevens and Johansson following over the top.

Dijk, Amualiusik, Guarnier and Van De Breggen. Lucinda Brand (Rabo Women)
and Ferrier bridged across to leaders with 45km to go.
the second of the climbs, the cat 2 climb caused more damage on bunch.
Stevens attacked and managed to gain a 10 second lead as the bunch
splintered as they gave chase. Stevens stretched out her lead 20 seconds
ahead of chase group of five riders. By the time they reached the top of the
climb, Stevens was first over ahead of Longo Borghini, Johansson, Van de
Breggen, Guarnier and Luperini.
the decent the rain started to fall heavily again. A leading group of three
formed Johansson, Longo Borghini and Stevens with 24km to go. The three
leaders worked hard and managed to gain a 50 second lead ahead of main bunch
with Luperini and Van De Breggen at 20 seconds. Luperini and Van de Breggen
bridged the gap to Johansson, Stevens and Longo Borghini to formed a lead
group of five.
the final climb, Stevens attacked 500 metres over the top of the final GPM
(cat 2) as conditions became wet and very windy on the descent as the
leaders rode the technical run into finish.
the top of the climb, Stevens, Johansson and Longo Borghini were together.
Johansson and Longo Borghini managed to distance themselves from Stevens on
the descent, creating a 60m advantage after 73km of racing. Stevens worked
hard and made it back to Johansson and Longo Borgini. The trio had a 20
second lead over Van de Breggen and a group of 11 riders at 55 seconds to
the race leaders. Van de Breggen managed to bridge across to the leaders.
the final 10 km , the four leaders worked hard to maintain their advantage.
With 5km to go the gap was 1 minute 48.
the final 500m, Johansson was caught by an early kick from Longo-Borghin.
Stevens gave chase but could not catch the young Italian.
