Stage 6 Vos won and secured overall for a 4th year Bunde - Berg enTerblijt, 96 km
Marianne Vos (Rabo Women) enjoyed the final stage of the Brainwash Holland Ladies tour by securing the win and the overall for a 4th year. The attacks started early with Specialized-lululemon and Orica-AIS determined to break up the race. Trixi Worrack (Specialized-lululemon) was the first to attack. Linda Villumsen (Orica-AIS) went with her but the team of Rabo Women soon closed the gap. On a flatter section of the undulating course, Kirsten Wild (AA Drink) attacked. she took with her, Giorgia Bronzini (Italy), Emma Johansson (Hitec) and Liesbet De Vocht (Rabo Women). that break caused the peloton to string out as it closed it quickly led by Ina-Yoko Teutenberg (Specialized-lululemon). After 50km a major break finally stuck. It included, Marianne Vos (Rabo Women), Evelyn Stevens (Specialized - Lululemon), Elisa Longo Borghini (Hitec Products - Mistral Homes), Linda villumsen and Judith Arndt (Orica AIS), Emma Johansson (Hitec Products - Mistral Homes), Anna van der Breggen (Sengers Ladies CT), Jessie Daams (AA-Drink), Trixi Worrack (Specialized - Lululemon), 2011 World Champion Giorgia Bronzini (Italian National Team), Annemiek van Vleuten (Rabo Women), Annelies van Doorslaer (Belgium), Ellen van Dijk (Specialized - Lululemon), Elena Cecchini (Italy), Pauline Ferrand-Prevot (Rabo Women) and Lucinda Brand (AA-Drink) Eventually the leading group started to split under the pace driven by the Olympic champion Vos. Vos kept attacking the group and eventually the group was down to a hand full of riders. Vos attacked the front of the what was left of the group on the Cauberg, accelerating away quickly. Stevens and Longo Borghini responded. Vos and Longo Borghini were left at the heat of the race with Stevens despertely chasing hard to join the leaders who were on the Guelhemmerwag climb. Anna van der Breggen (Sengers Ladies CT) also tried to bridge across but could not make it. Stevens managed to bridge to the two leaders. In the end however, Vos was too strong. She started her sprint 200m out and Stevens had nothing left to match the Dutch woman. Longo-Borghini finished behind the sprint 9 seconds back.
