Stage 2 - Specialized-lululemon dominate TTT, Worrack takes lead Dronten, Team Time Trial, 34km
Stage 2 of the Brainwash Holland Ladies Tour was a decisive test for the professional teams hoping to gain gold in the Team time Trial at the Limburg World Championships in less than two weeks. Specialized-lululemon won the event in 41 minutes 4 seconds, beating runner-up Orica-AIS by 19 seconds and third-placed Rabo Women by 58 seconds over 34km in the town of Dronten. The win put Specialized-lululemon's Trixi Worrack into the race lead , with team mates, ellen van Dijk, Charlotte Becker and Evelyn Stevens, right behind her. 2011 World Time Trial champion Judith Arndt sits in 5th with the silver medallist from 2011 Linda Villumsen and former Dutch TT champion Loes Gunnewijk right behind her. Overnight leader, Marianne Vos (Rabo Women) sits 58 seconds behind Worrack. Comments Ronny Lauke (Specialized-lululemon Sport Director) was happy with the result be wary that Orica and Rabo Women are not far behind, "It was the last TTT test before Worlds and it shows that we are in a good position with 10 days to go," said Lauke. Lauke added, "There are still a few minor things that we can do better. After winning all the important TTTs this season we can be confident but we definitely have a lot of respect for our competitors. The results have been close and it will be a close battle amongst the top teams for the TTT crown on September 16."
