Kirsten wild (AA Drink) secured valuable sprint time bonuses during the race and won the final sprint to win the overall yellow jersey. Evelyn Arys (Belgium) and Amy Pieters (Skil-Argos) The final stage started on wet roads and tough force 6 wind. It was cloudy, and it was forecasted that there would be a slight chance of showers during the race with a maximum of 19-20 degrees. An initial crash meant the race had to be neutralised for 4 minutes. As the race got started the peloton were keen to get the race over. The pace was extremely high and immediately splits started to form. Just before the first sprint the front started to split as the rider attacked for the bonus points. Kirsten Wild (AA Drink) secure maximum points and bonus seconds. A leading group of approximately 77 riders formed after 50km of racing. They gained 35 seconds on the chasing group, which was thwarted by strong head winds. As the peloton approached the cobblestones in Geersdijk it strung out. With 67km to go the gap had increased to 50 seconds. At the second sprint, Rabo Women and AA Drink were driving the pace. At the second intermediate sprint: Wild won ahead of Amy Pieters (Skil-Argon) and Iris Slappendel (Rabo Women). With two intermediate sprint wins, it moved Wild within 10 seconds of leader Amy Cure (Jayco-AIS). With 44 km left the the leaders approached the finish area at Westkapelse to start the two local laps of 16 km. The third of the sprint opportunities at the finish line provided further points and time bonuses. In a repeat of the second sprint, Wild won ahead of Pieters and Slappendel, moving Wild within 7 seconds of Cure. Anna van der Breggen (Sengers) escaped from the peloton, but only managed to gain a 50m before the peloton closed the gap. With 20km to go Pauline Ferrand Prevot (Rabo Women) escaped from the peloton. But like van der Breggan her efforts were marked by the peloton. With 10km to go the pace was extremely high. The peloton were in a long ribbon on the back roads towards Aagtekerke. At the front of the race Liesbet de Vocht (Rabo Women) attacked as they approached 5km to go. she did not get away. As the finish line approached the lead group was intact. Kirsten Wild (AA Drink) won the sprint to the line ahead of Evelyn Arys (Belgium) and Amy Pieters (Skil-Argos)
