Stage 2 -Amy Cure wins for Jayco-AIS Middelburg - Vlissingen, 105.6km
Conditions were calm for the late 6.30 start of the second stage. The course ran from Middelburg North Beveland to Walcheren then onto Vlissingen, where the riders after 105.6 kilometers. After 1 hour of racing, the pace was high and cracks started to form in the bunch. Rabo Women were driving the pace to protect the overnight leader Iris Slappendel. The rain started to fall after 43 km of racing had been completed. There were a number of attempts to get away but the leading group of 80 riders were keen to keep things together. AA Drink were on the front when the younf Australian Amy cure (who will be representing Australia in the Pursuit in London) attacked. She quickly gained a gap of 40 seconds. With 20km to go, Cure had opened up a gap of almost two minutes. Anna van der Breggen (Sengers) tried to escape, but she was caught. At 5km to go the gap to Cure was down to 50 seconds. Despite a concerted chase Cure managed to stay clear and crossed the line 21 seconds ahead of Kirsten Wild (AA Drink) with Amy Pieters (Skil-Argos) third. Cure moved herself into the overal lead with one stage left.
