Stage 2- Teutenberg sprints to victory Omloop Bab Nieuweschans, 107.3km Ina-Yoko Teutenberg (Specialised Lululemon) sprinted to victory in the second stage of the Energywacht Tour. The German rider won mass sprint for the line ahead of Kirsten Wild (AA Drink - Leontien.nl) and Marianne Vos (Stichting Rabo). With her third place, Vos moved into the overall leader in the general classification. In the second stage over 107 kilometers of Bad Nieuweschans the bunch stayed together until the final 35 km when Specialised Lululemon and Stichting Rabo, took control and a leading breakaway of 22 riders formed . The group included, Teutenberg, Emilia Fahlin, Ellen Van Dijk, Trixi Worrack (Specialized - Lululemon), Wild, Lizzie Armitstead and Chantal Blaak (AA Drink), Vos, Sarah Düster, Iris Slappendel and Annemiek Van Vleuten (Stichting Rabo), Laura Van Der Kamp (Dolmans - Boels), Romy Kasper (Rusvelo), Loes Gunnewijk, Shara Gillow and Rowena Fry (Greenedge - AIS), Marlen Jöhrend (Abus Nutrixxion),, Andrea Dvorak (USA),Adrie Visser, Suzanne De Goede and Amy Pieters (Skil 1T4I) and Anne Arnouts Belgium. The top two riders from the prologue, Kristin Armstrong (USA) and Clara Hughes (Specialised Lululemon missed the break. In the end the mass sprint was easily won by Teutenberg who gets her first European win of 2012. Comments Ina-Yoko Teutenberg (Specialised Lululemon) was happy with her first European win of 2012. "We were well represented in the break and I could therefore make sure I was well positioned for the sprint. I felt good and still had lots speed at the finish. It's nice to win again on European soil,'' said the experienced German Marianne Vos (Stichting Rabo) was pleased with her form especially after her recent bout of illness, "This winter I invested a lot in the road season and I started well. Being sick last weekend was not good but I am ok now. Of course I want to try to win here, but the team time trial is crucial.
