Alexis Rhodes (GreenEDGE) won the final final stage in her trade mark move, off the front at the final stage of the Santos cup, "Yeah I’m not much of a sprinter so that’s sort of my only tactic but yeah it works occasionally," said Rhodes about her lone attack from 4 laps from the finish. "I guess for us to wrap it up overall, we had confidence and knew that and also to get a stage victory upon us was kind of important as well," added Rhodes. Rhodes was asked how she felt about having Gerry [Ryan] watching? , "It’s always fantastic to have Gerry here. Obviously to have the team’s financial backer here it’s a bit of added incentive to perform." Rhodes announced her retirement at the end of the 2012 season during the team launch, "I’ve been at it for a long time and it’s nice to come back to Australia and hang out with my family. I miss them more and more when I’m over in Europe and yeah I think it’s time. It’s nice to go out on a good year; well hopefully it will be a good year." Judith Arndt (GreenEDGE-AIS) was asked what the plan was going into today's race? "Just try for one of us to win," said Arndt. When Alexis [Rhodes] attacked Arndt was asked if she thought that she could stay away? "Oh yeah, she is a very strong rider. I was pretty confident," said Arndt. On wrapping up the overall series? "It was very tight between the first and second place riders at the start of today. I didn't even know. It's nice, I mean really after the first day, we had a little bit of problems and that, but nice it worked out," added Arndt
