Preview Plouay World Cup 2011

Preview 

The final round of the World Cup for 2011 will be exciting. Annemiek van Vleuten and Marianne Vos (Nederland Bloeit) lead the overall standings ahead of Emma Johansson (Hitec). If Johansson wins the final race in Plouay, the Dutch pair would only need to be in the top 20 to secure the jersey for the team.

They will not have the race all their own way. 2009 and 2010 winner Emma Pooley (Garmin Cervelo) leads a strong team. The strong British contingent of  Lizzie Armitstead, Lucy Martin and Sharon Laws will test the legs of the teams to try to bring the win home for their team..   

HTC Highroad have a strong team, Judith Arndt lead a strong mix of riders, Emilia Fahlin and Amber Neben arrive fresh from the US. They are joined by Charlotte Becker, Evelyn Stevens and  Katie Colclough. 

Hitec Products UCK will want to ride well with Emma Johansson who sits third in the world cup standings. She is the only rider who can take the World Cup  jersey off Nederland Bloiet, but she must win to do so and then hope that neither van Vleuten nor Vos finish in the top twenty

Former winner of Plouay Nicole Cooke will be looking to ride strongly with her SC MCipollini Giambenini team.

Gauss will want to show well and arrive in Plouay in high spirits having just won Trophee d'Or. Tatiana Antoshina is riding along side the French Champion Christel Ferrier-Bruneau 

Topsport Vlaanderen 2012 - Ridley Team should never be discounted. They are led by  Grace Verbeke, winner of the 2010 Tour of Flanders

Diadora - Pasta Zara rode well at Trophee d'Or. Shelly Olds and Olga Zabelinskaya lead the team.

TIBCO - To The Top have a strong team led by Carmen Small. 

Top Girls Fassa Bortolo, AA Drink and Colavita Forno d' Asolo have strong riders and could stir up the race with Kirsten Wild and Giorgia Bronzini.

Other teams riding are; Lotto Honda, Dolmans Landscaping Team, Team GSD Gestion, Vienne Futuroscope, ASPTT Dijon - Bourgogne, Bizkaia-Durango, S.C. Michela Fanini Rox France, Russian Federation, Vaiano Solaristech and Spain.
