Stage 3 - World TT Champion Pooley wins 

Elorrio - Kampazar (ITT), 7.6 km

 

Race Writeup

Emma Pooley (Garmin-Cervelo) won stage 3 in Bira. The 2010 World Time Trial champion, powered around the short 7.6km circuit in her first win since returning from injury. Race leader Marianne Vos (Nederland Bloeit) finished second 3 seconds behind Pooley. Judith Arndt (HTC Highroad) finished third 25 seconds back. 

Vos leads overall by 18 seconds ahead of the fourth stage and second stage of the day at Deba 81km. 

Garmin Cervelo riders lead in the team classification.

Vos holds a 41 point lead in the sprint competition.
