Masterton to Palmerston North via Pahiatua track,  114km

Race Writeup

Judith Arndt (HTC High-Road) has maintained her lead in the Tour of NZ by winning the second stage. A break of eight riders with 35 kilometres to go was eventually whittled to three in the closing kilometres. General Classification contenders, Arndt and Catherine Cheatley (New Zealand) contested a three-up sprint with Ruth Corset (Jayco AIS).
