Keirin-   Simona Krupeckaite beats all odds to win GOLD

Final 1-6  

Simona Krupeckaite (LTU) sprinted to victory to deny Vicky Pendleton (GBR) of a second sprint medal. The young Belarusian Olga Panarina jumped into the Bronze medal position.

7-12 Place  

In the battle for the minor places, Anna Meares (AUS) held the sprinters line to win. Both Willy Kanis and Emily Rosemond were relegates for impeding another rider and not holding their lines in the sprint.
