Holland Ladies Tour misses the big hills of the previous Valkenburg finales for 2010. The final stage is centred, instead, on the town of Hellendoorn, further north in the flatter lands of the Netherlands (compared to Valkenberg). This thirteenth edition of the race features a double-stage on Saturday, with 80.4 kilometres in the morning and then a 15.6km time trial (individual) in the afternoon. The ITT is a single lap of a 15.6km circuit, which the riders will know well by the end of the day - they also cover it twice in the morning's mass start stage. 

With laps of circuits featuring heavily in several of the stages, the opportunities for spectators are increased. Although, there are no 'must go to' points on any particular stage, the lack of any serious climbs in the parcours leaves the overall glory open to a true sprinter who can time trial. The riders will be hoping for some windy stages to give them the opportunity to break the race up and allow some echelons and breakaways to form.  

Teams on the provisional start list include riders already selected for the World Championships in Geelong and the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in Septbember and October and puts them up against regional and 'mix' team riders from around the Netherlands. All of those who stood on the podia in 2009 and 2010 are on the start list - Vos, Wild, Teutenberg, Becker and van den Broek.
