Stage 5 - Wild wins stage 5 and closes gap on Bras Rijssen - Rijssen, 80.4km
Kirsten Wild (Cervelo Test Team) won the sprint in stage 5 ahead of Marianne Vos (Nederland Bloiet) and Shelly Olds (USA) to close the gap on Martine Bras (Merida / Gauss) who remains in the lead going into the second stage of the day by 9 seconds. With one of the key sprinters, Ina-Yoko Teutenberg (HTC Columbia) out the the race, the door to the overall competition sits with the other inform riders, Bras, Velentina Bastianelli (Top Girls) (7 seconds), Wild (9 seconds) and Vos (13 seconds). On the short 80.4km stage there was no chance of anyone getting away. With 10km the bunch were all together. A big crash with 5km to go disrupted race and caused a break in the bunch. Wild got the perfect lead out and was too fast for Vos. Martine Bras (Merida/Gauss) still hold a 7 second lead going into the second stage of the day a 15.6km ITT.
