Prologue

Gruissan, Individual TT, 3.9km

Race Writeup

The prologue time trial was taken by Regina Bruins (Cervelo Test Team) ahead of Linda Villumsen (Team Columbia) and Marianne Vos (Netherland Bloeit). This was a reverse of the one, two from 2009. The 3.9km course was fast, apart from the initial headwind section. Bruins took it in her stride, the Dutch woman completed the circuit in 4 minutes 48.46 seconds. 

Cervelo test Team, HTC Columbia and Netherland Bloeit almost filled the top 10 spots, with Cervelo just holding onto the Team classification.
