On this page >> Write-up Comments Photos Results Fatehah Mustapa dominates at Melbourne Track With three events, the women made the most of the track time. Malaysian, Fatehah Mustapa, who is based in Melbourne during the summer, dominated two out of three of the events. Ting-wing Huang (TPE), stopped the clean sweep. Local rider Apryl Eppinger (CAR) tried hard to catch Mustapa napping in the final event. Epinger attacked at the bell, but could not hold off the speed of Mustapa.
Fatehah Mustapa (MAL) was very happy with her performance on the track tonight, "I am happy with my wins," said Mustapa. "I am preparing for the Asian Championships and Asia Games after I missed out on the qualification points for the World Championships in Copenhagen. I was disqualified in Beijing and I needed points there to get me to worlds," she added. Apryl Eppinger (CAR) has raced internationally and enjoyed the chance to race against the Malaysian on home ground, "I gave it everything tonight but Fatehah (Mustapa) was just too fast at the end. I did not have any more in my legs," said Eppinger.
