Rachel Mercer joins Team Hitec Products UCK New Zealander Rachel Mercer has joined Hitec Products UCK for the second half of season. Rachel Mercer (20) from New
Zealand have signed a contract for the remainder of the season with
Team Hitec Products UCK. Rachel is a talented young rider, with the
strongest ability in time trialing. Her best result so far in 2009 is
a 5th place on stage in the tour of Chongming Island (UCI 2.1). Other
results on her resume is 'Oceania Road Cycling Championships U19 TT
Champion', 'National Road Time Trial Champion' and a 4t place in the
Junior World Championships Time Trial in Mexico. She was also No 6 in the
Road Race in Mexico. For the time being she is in
the
Netherlands
to race local criteriums and classics.
