Team Pursuit - British dominate qualifying and finals for a third year. Final The British team dominated the final stages of the Team Pursuit. They had it all their own way. The young German team tried hard to get up at the first at 1000m and kept pushing but at 2000m the dominant British trio increased their speed and opened up the gap on the Germans. Despite every effort the Germans they could not close in on the British team. In the fight for the Bronze medal, the Australian team improved on their qualifying time by .3 second to secure the Bronze. This is the first senior World Championships for Kent and Ankudinoff and at 18 the pair will be ones to watch with team mate Tomic over the next few years. Qualifying The British team posted the fastest time in qualifying to secure their place in the final against the Germans. They were slower to the 1000m mark but soon worked their way back into the lead by 2000m.
