Prologue
Fontaines -
Chaix,
Individual TT, 4.4km
Race
Writeup
Diana Ziliute (Safi)
took advantage of an early start and took the lead in the 2009 Route de
France. Increasing headwinds on the point-to-point course made it harder for
those opting a later start. Zvetlana Bubnenkova (Fenixs) was second and
Ina-Yoko Teutenberg (Team Columbia), who won the prologue in 2008 was third.
Defending Champion, Luise Keller (Team Columbia) finished 29 seconds behind
the winner.
Tiffany Cromwell
(Australian National Team) continued a strong European campaign be taking
the young rider jersey with her fourth place ride overall (at 8 seconds).
Teams are
provided with the order of start, which is then repeated for each their team
members. Thus, riders and managers are able to decide on their preferred
start times within the constraints of the order given to the teams
throughout.
