Giro del Trentino 2009

Route announced for 2009 Giro del Trentino June 19-20, Arco, Italy
There
are two big Italian races on the schedule in the months of June and July
2009, both ranked UCI 2.1. The
first of the two is the sixteenth edition of the Giro del Trentino
International Women's Memorial Audenzio Tiengo which starts on the 18 June
and runs for 2 days. The race is dedicated to Audenzio Tiengo its founder
and despite some logistical issues that have forced the race to be changed
to run mid week this year, it is set to be a grand race with some of the top
riders in from around the world taking part. The second is the Giro Donne in
July 3-12, we will preview this later. The
2009 event will run from Arco - Monzambano (Mantova) and will be 106km. The
second stage will be the same distance, into the heart of the country from
Riva del Garda to Faedo. Yuri
Tiengo, new chairman of that Polisportiva Faedo has organised the Giro del
Trentino for the last sixteen years. "An advanced plan was
necessitated and we had to improvise based on the changes forced on us in
relation to the route and days. In some places we had agreement and we had
adequate logistics in place. On the other hand, we can not afford to give up
certain standards organisation. So we were forced to adapt and run in the
middle of the week, thus renouncing the weekend, that possibly impacting the
substantial inflow of public. We have ensured unchanged courses and
especially the expectations for the Giro del Trentino,” said

two beautiful stages, the first arriving in Monzambano, the second by
landing a Faedo, our historic premises in the vicinity of pine trees. "We
will have all the top ranking athletes of the International Cycling Union,
which simply refer to the list to find most of the girls who will be at the
start of our two days. We are finalizing the confirmations, but for now I
can say that we start with a list of the top riders to ensure a competitive
performance of the absolute level," added Tiengo
