TD Bank Philadelphia International Cycling Championships 2009 Volunteers Needed for 2009 event
With the commitment of two new sponsors last week – SugarHouse and Foxwoods casinos – and growing public support of the “Embrace the Race” campaign, organizers of the TD Bank Philadelphia International Cycling Championship are working in overdrive to bring a sensational race-day experience to the City for the event’s 25th year. The
volunteer corps has developed quite a following over the event’s 25-year
history. People return year after year for duty, with many traveling

Hundreds of volunteers are needed for race day, Sunday, June 7, 2009, in the following areas: course marshals (over 300 needed), stage crew, foreign language interpreters, hospitality, marketing and public relations, and driver support. Comment Jerry Casale chief operating officer of Pro Cycling Tour and co-founder of the Philly race, “Whether you’re a cyclist yourself or someone who wants to see how a world-class sporting event unfolds on the city streets of Philadelphia, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to be a part of the 25th running of cycling’s biggest single-day professional race,” said Casale. “This is unlike any other event in the country, and volunteering is an incredible way to experience it, show off your civic pride, and help us host a safe and memorable race day for everyone!” he added.
