Noemi Cantele wins for Bigla 

Durango -Durango, Spain, 133.9km, (uci 1.2)

Noemi Cantele (Bigla Cycling Team) won the 2009 edition of the Durango-Durango Emakumeen Saria road race. Cantele won in the small bunch sprint ahead of Judith Arnth (Team Columbia Highroad women) and Emma Johansson (red Sun Cycling- Sweden).

The top three including a fourth member of the break, Arndt's team mate Mara Abbott were away after the final climb of the day and finished 48 seconds ahead of the chasing small bunch of seven riders that included Nicole Cooke (Vision 1).

Team Columbia Highroad had the advantage in the later stages of the race with three members of the team in the leading group. Tactics allowed the break of four to form after Abbot attacked and Kim Anderson was left to slow the front of the bunch and sit in while they chased. 

The rest of the peloton finished in small groups after they were splintered by the attack.
