Dorte Rasmussen to Swift

Mid-year transfer sees Dane arrive

This week Swift Racing can confirm the addition of Danish rider Dorte Lohse Rasmussen to its squad. Having started with the team so well at the weekend finishing 5th in the Omloop door Middag-Humsterland, the team are hoping this will be a sign of good things to come.

A rider of proven class, who as well as being a former National Champion has finished 4th in the World Championships, Dorte is able to compete with the worlds best over all types of course. With strong riders now working for her in a great race program, this could prove to be a fantastic season.

So far this season Dorte has already performed very well with particularly good results coming in Spain in the Trofeo Ciudad de Sevilla (UCI 1.2) where she was 3rd, Italy where she was 7th in the GP Costa Etrusca (UCI 1.2) and of course Holland this weekend.

These strong performances place Dorte 47th in the world ranking after this weekend.

For the team, this signing is very significant. ‘It’s been 4 years hard work to get to this point for Swift Racing. We now have great backing on the team from our sponsors, and can now start to think about attracting some of the world’s best riders. I feel this is needed to help us develop the young talent that we have on the team.’ said manager Stefan Wyman.
