Hellendorn - Hellendoorn, 109km

Race Writeup

Ina-Yoko Teutenberg (Team Columbia) took the first stage of the 2008 Holland Ladies Tour and with it, another leader's jersey in this season.

The sprinter won an uphill battle with Kirsten Wild (AA Drink) after a relatively quiet stage in the Overijsel region of the Netherlands. Olympic points race Champion, Marianne Vos (DSB Bank) was third.

A crash in the first 5km put paid to the race for Rochelle Gilmore (De Noordwesthoek). The Australian was taken to hospital with a very nasty gash on her left leg, caused by a chainwheel.
