Sprint Qualifying

Under 19 & Seniors

New South Wales' Kaarle McCulloch was the fastest qualifier in the sprint and will face team-mate Cassandra Kell in the semi-finals on Friday. The second semi-final match will see Tuesday's team sprint winners Kerrie Meares, the defending champion, and Emily Rosemond, the former Olympic speed skater, up against each other in an all Queensland battle.

In the U19 competition, the fastest qualifier was newly crowned 500m time trial champion Annette Edmondson (SA), with 2007 sprint champion Phillipa Hindmarsh (QLD), Stephanie Morton (SA) and Sinead Cosgrove (NSW) also through to the semi-finals.
