Miho Oki takes 10th RR Championship

The only rider to have ever won the Japanese title

Japanese RR Championships 2007

On a very wet day, with poor visibility caused by fog, Menikini Gysko's Miho Oki won her tenth Japanese Road Race Championship in a row. She is the only rider to have won the title since its inception in 1998.

Oki outsprinted Ayako Tokooka and Masami Mashimo to take the Championship in the south of Japan.

Meanwhile, Raleigh's Nicole Cooke has been stripped, albeit potentially temporarily, of the chance to take her eighth British Championship in a row. Due to flooding and severe weather in the area, the organisers have postponed the event. An alternative date is being sought. Click here for details.
