Team Flexpoint for Het Volk

Mirjam Melchers not yet fit, three to start

Melchers will start season on 24th March

The European cycling season will start for Team Flexpoint with the Omloop het Volk on Sunday 18th March.

Mirjam Melchers -Van Poppel will not start due to an operation last week. Her doctors removed the pins this week, after the treatment which was required as a result of the crash in the Euregio Ladies Tour last year. After a short rehabilitation she can now focus on the start of the season, which is now planned for the Italian one-day race Giro dei Comuni Ribardella-Montescudaio on Saturday March 24.

Team Flexpoint will start with three riders who also rode in Down Under the last weeks; LoŽs Gunnewijk , LoŽs Markerink and Madeleine Sandig

The second edition of the Omloop het Volk for women starts in Deerlijk and will finish 126,7 km later in Deinze.
