Race Writeup

German, Hanka Kupfernagel took the top step of the podium in front of a 'home' crowd in Stuttgart. Defending Champion, Kristin Armstrong (USA) rode strongly to take second place, ahead of Austrian, Christiane Soeder. 

The Americans, just as they did in 2006, provided a strong TT performance. Three riders were placed in the top 5.
