Race 3

Coevorden - Hoogeveen   138.5km

Race Writeup

Another day of cobbles and climbing the "Garbage Hill" - VAM Berg.....  The weather remained good and although many breaways were attempoted, none were successful. Perhapds the most notable was the duo of Brooke Miller (USA) and and Marllijn Binnendijk (AA-Drink), who got away in hte final 30km, building up a lead of around a minute. However, they were swallowed by the bunch as they climbed the landfill site's 19% slope of VAM Berg.

The bunch was together for the final sprint. Giorgia Bronzini (Italy) won with Marianne Vos (DSB Bank) second. T-Mobile's Ina-Yoko Teutenberg was third, after being forced to break at the height of her sprint when the gap in front of her was closed down by Vos.
