Race Writeup

An early formed break stayed away over the main climb of the day and down the other side. One of the riders who was often driving the break onwards, Ina-Yoko Teutenberg (T-Mobile) sprinted to victory in Limoux to win the final stage. This was a repeat of her 2006 final stage win.

A second group managed to escape, containing the General Classification contenders. They stayed together to the finish in Limoux, the result was that the overall classification for the race didn't change. 

Susanne Ljungskog rolled across the line, waving an arm in a victory salute.
