The Trofeo Costa Etrusca will provide 2 great days of elite racing this weekend. The eleventh edition has UCI approval. Race patron, Renzo Parietti, has put together a competition to test even the best competitors. Although there will be no general classification, this is not a Tour, but two separate races, the riders will be able to gauge their fitness at this point in the season.

Saturday's race takes in over 100km on the roads beloved to Paulo Bettini and Silvia Parietti (the latter, a former Italian road Champion). The first climb takes place just 10km from the start line and there will be some tough climbing throughout the day.

Sunday's race takes in the roads used in 2006, but run in the opposite direction. 102km, with two laps of a circuit before the finish in Castellina Marittima. Last year's winner was Fabiana Luperini.
