Carnegie Caulfield Cycling Club has secured sponsorship with Kelly Cycle Coaching for a women-only criterium during their usual Sunday morning racing programme at Glenvale Crescent in Melbourne's outer suburbs. 

The Glenvale criteriums are popular with club and international riders alike. Current and previous World, National and Commonwealth Champions regularly line-up with club riders for a workout on the fast, wide circuit. 

The Glenvale GP Feminine Criterium will take place just before the Geelong Tour and World Cup. Elite riders and those from interstate and overseas who are participating in the Geelong events are invited to ride the A grade GP Feminine event. 

Club riders will have their own race as part of the GP Feminine.

All women riders participating will then have the option of a free race in the usual (mixed) A or C Grade event which will take place after the GP Feminine.

Details

Entry fee: $10 Seniors, $5 Juniors (J17 and under). Entries taken on the day from 8.30 am. Correct money please!

Prize Money: $700 total

The Course: Women only graded criterium racing on a safe, high speed 1.2 km circuit.

      ~ The 45 minute A Grade (for Pro Women, institute and B grade club riders) races feature 2 mid-race primes

         (of $60 in total) for the top 3 riders.
      ~ The 30 minute B Grade (for C and D Grade club riders) races feature 1 mid-race prime (of $60 in total) for

          the top 3 riders.

Wet weather: in the interests of safety, races may be shortened or cancelled at the discretion of race day officials

Important Notes: free entry available into CCCC's normal A or C Grade race (which follows the Women's events) for all participants!
