Biemme,
in conjunction with Trialtir, joins USA Cycling as the new official
supplier of performance clothing of the U.S. National Cycling Teams.
Per an agreement
that
extends through the
2008 UCI Road
World Championships, Italian-owned Biemme will provide performance clothing
for all national team competitions, including World Championships, Pan
American Championships, the 2007 Pan American Games and the 2008 Olympic
Games. Ongoing programs like the women’s endurance program and the
track program will also wear Biemme at all national team events.
“Cycling
is our passion, and for the last ten years, our business has strived to be
involved in all things cycling,” said Trialtir national sales manager Trey
Henderson. “It’s a very big honor to be associated with USA Cycling.
It’s good recognition for us because we want to be involved in anything
that furthers the sport and promotes our brand.”
Trialtir
will also pay a royalty to USA Cycling for every USA Cycling Development
Foundation jersey sold through the USA Cycling Development Foundation
website, http://www.usacdf.org/.
New
sponsors this year include four other companies - Mavic,
Easton
, Innovations and Stan’s No Tubes.
Mavic
has signed on to provide carbon wheels for the track, women’s endurance,
and U23 programs.
Easton
has pledged its support to cycling by providing bars, stems and forks for
USA Cycling track teams, as well as working with USA Cycling athletics
programs to develop innovative cycling prototypes.
Innovations
will supply the mountain bike teams with carbon dioxide cartridges. Stan’s
No Tubes will provide tire sealant for tubeless mountain bike tires.
