Preview and event details

Youth Tour Website

The 2006 Isle of Man International Youth & Junior Tour takes place on Friday 28 April to Sunday 30 April.

Sleepwell Hotels have once again kindly sponsored the event providing event headquarters, Gala Prize Presentation evening with live entertainment, bike storage and accommodation at greatly reduced costs.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet are also offering special deals to competitors and their families.

The first stage takes place on Friday evening right outside the Hotel on Douglas Promenade in the shape of a short prologue time trial. Stage two is a  hilly road race on a course in the Marown area, just outside Douglas on complete closed roads!

The final stage takes place at the National Sports Centre for a circuit race, followed later by the gala prize presentation.

Overall leaders will wear yellow jerseys (pink for the girls), plus climber/points combined jerseys as well as great prizes available, it promises to be a great social weekend for competitors and parents alike.

All Juniors & Youths A, B & C will be catered for. Any Youth D riders can enter, however they will have to ride in the C event on their restricted gearing.

Parents have plenty to do also, they can enjoy ‘local’ hospitality or relax in Sleepwells newly refurbished Chesterhouse Hotel and discuss the day’s racing while their children are tucked up in bed!
