Day 2 October 5 - 8, Carson, California
Defending women's sprint champion, Jennie Reed (Spike) took two straight wins in the best-of-three, head-to-head format against silver medalist Liz Carlson (East Coast Velo). In the bronze medal match, Anna Lang (Big City Velo) beat Cristin Walker (/Northwest Cycling Club) in two straight rides to place third. Martha Dunne (Jelly Belly) won the 5-8 finals to round out the podium in fifth.
None of the competitors in the women's sprint were between the ages of 19-22, so there was no U23 national champion.
