Tour of Montreal

The traditional time trial for this, the 5th edition of the Tour of Montreal, was changed for 2006. The course was previously much shorter. Lachine, where the stage is held is a suburb of Montreal.

Riding for Webcor-Platinum, American, Christine Thorburn took the leader's yellow jersey from Kori Seehafer and Kristin Armstrong (both TEAm Lipton) by 9 seconds and 11 seconds respectively.

Non-finisher was Ilda Guiterez (Mexico), whilst there were three non-starters.
