Tour de l'Aude

Arzens - Montreal 31.5km

With a strong wind acting as tailwind along the east-west road from Arzens to Montreal l'Aude, the riders were helped somewhat on a course which was otherwise very difficult. With hard climbs, including a sharp 300m finale in the town of Montreal, this was not an easy time trial.

In the end, Priska Doppmann took her second stage of the race, by over a minute, whilst Frenchwoman, Marina Jaunatre was delighted to have retained her lead on the General Classification. She will finally get to wear the yellow jersey on Thursday's stage, not having had the honour during this time trial - she wore her standard French National Team skinsuit.
