Race Overview

The Geelong Women's Tour povides the first major race of the 2005 season. Riders in teams entered for the 2005 Geelong World Cup on Sunday 27th February will be riding - and thereby getting an early look at each other before Sunday's first major event of the year.

There are 4 stages over 3 days - including a (prologue) time trial, a criterium, a long-circuit road race and then, on Thursday, a road stage which takes in the major climb of Mount Wallace - in the country area to the north of Lara, just outside of Geelong.

The UCI World Cup, which starts on Sunday, is a season long series of one-day road race events. These are spaced throughout the year and 

Race Programme

Day 1   22nd February 

Stage 1  8 km Individual Time Trial at Portarlington. Start Time 10:30 am 

Stage 2  Criterium at Portarlington. Start Time 2:30 pm 

Day 2   23rd February 

Stage 3 – Road Race – Barwon Heads Circuit. Start Time 10:30 am

Day 3   24th February 

Stage 4  Road Race Lara Circuit. Start Time 10:30 am

UCI Women’s Road World Cup,

Sunday 27th February – Geelong. Start Time 10:00 am
