Race Overview

2005 represents the seventh running of this race. In previous years, it was known as the Ster van Walcheren. But, the race has grown and goes beyond Walcheren, it now takes in much of the  Zeewsche region, hence the name change. Major sponsor to this race for several years is the Dutch bacn, Rabobank.

Stage 1  - Thursday 16 June -   Vlissingen - Vlissingen, 105,7 km 

Start - Stadhuis Vlissingen - 17.45hrs 

Finish -  Stadhuisplein, Vlissingen - 18.30hrs

Stage 2 - Friday 17 June 2005 - Middelburg - Domburg, 112,2 km 

Start  - Abdijplein, Middelburg - 17:45hr

Finish - Ooststraat/Markt, Domburg 18:30hr

Stage 3 - Saturday 18 June - Kamperland – Kamperland 14,3 km   Time Trial

Start - first rider 10:00hrs   Roompot Beach Resort, Kamperland   (Riders at minute intervals)

Finish -  Roompot Beach Resort, Kamperland 

Stage 4 - Saturday 18 June - Kamperland – Renesse, 124,1 km 

Start - Roompot Beach Resort, Kamperland - 14.30hrs 

Finish  - Hogezoom/Waterpeilplein, Renesse
