Marta Vilajosana wins Trofeo Lombardia

Marta Vilajosana has won the second running of the Trofeo Lombardia - Memorial Lele Dall'Oste cyclocross event. The event, which took place last Sunday (6th November) was a competitive affair.

Vilajosana, who is a Calatan, proved once again that she has good form and a lot of determination. The final two laps of the course saw her involved in a head to head race with Valentina Alesssio, the Italian track champion . "It was a hard race today. The rain and mud made the going slippery. The last two laps were the hardest, but I was happy to have been able to save some energy to get ahead of my rival in the final metres of the race." commented Vilajosana afterwards.
