Race Review - Boot Inn League – Stage 3

Louise Harliwich won Stage 3 of the Boot Inn league on Wednesday 18th May..

Louise was riding in her first Boot Inn race , and she started the night with a seven min handicap over a very experienced scratch group consisting of Roisin Kennedy of Usher IRC and Orwell riders , Jenny Fay, Orla Hendron and Fidelma Fahey.

Louise attacked on the first lap and rode most of the four lap race alone.

The second group on the road (Chloe Farrell / D.Gordon/Nessa Smyth/Deborah Byrne/Jean O’Connor) worked well together for the first two laps , Jean O’Connor (UCD) attacked and had a small gap going on to the last lap.

The reduced scratch group of , Fahey, Kennedy and Jenny Fay, worked hard and began to pull a lot of time back on the two groups ahead .

Louise was chased hard on the last lap by Jenny Fay and Roisin Kennedy, but she managed to win by almost two mins, with Kennedy taking  the sprint for second over Fay(Orwell) , Jean O’Connor (UCD) held on for fourth, Scratch rider Fidelma Fahey fifth , and Deborah Byrne (Bray Wheelers) taking the points for sixth
