The Holland Ladies Tour is a 'big' stage race for the European women's peleton. It is an established race in the season and nestles between the Plouay World Cup race and the Rotterdam World Cup race. Many of the teams from Saturday's race have travelled up through France and Belgium to this race. Ask any of the riders their targets for the year, or during the season, the rest of the year and this race will be mentioned. Not only does it offer fast, hard racing in-between the races which partially comprise the end of the season-long World Cup, it is also just a couple of weeks before the World Championships and so provides ideal preparation too.
