Junior Women's Cross Country Results The U.S. National Mountain Bike Team continued its campaign at the 2005 UCI World Championships on Thursday as Chloe Forsman (Boulder, Colo.) scored a top-ten finish in the 10.5-mile junior women's cross country race. Forsman finished ninth to record the best finish for an American junior woman cross country rider since 2001 and vastly improved upon her 26th-place effort from a year ago. With 43 riders representing 22 countries, Forsman started strong and continued to improve throughout the race. After clocking the 13th fastest time at the first checkpoint, Forsman advanced to 10th position at the second time check before picking off one more rider to close out her day in the ninth spot, six minutes and 21 seconds off the pace of winner Tereza Hurikova of the Czech Republic. Hanna Klein (GER) and Tanja Zakelj (SLO) rounded out the podium in second and third respectively. The only other American rider in the race, Danae York (Indio, Calif.) finished 38th.
