Gollan wins in Sweden

Olivia Gollan, 31, took victory on Saturday ahead of a world class field in the Scandinavian Open Road Race. Gollan completed the 79.8km distance in 2hr 01min 46sec.

Gollan, the 2003 Australian road Champion and a member of the team in Athens last year, was ahead of the field with fellow breakaway rider Karin Aune of Sweden for 65km before outsprinting her rival on the line.

Gollan rides with Team Nürnberger, the German registered world number one ranked women's professional team along with compatriot and current world number one, Oenone Wood from Canberra.
