Premio Castilla y Leon UCI World Cup - Race 3 Spain - 28th March 2004 Castilla y Leon Results Wood to defend jersey, Melchers and Rossner threat to lead The third round of the World Cup takes place this weekend in Spain. World Cup Leader and consistent finisher, Oenone Wood takes the multicoloured jersey to the Gran Premio Castilla y Leon on Sunday. Last year's event saw the breakaway caught in the latter stages of the race and then Mirjam Melchers took the sprint. If a breakaway succeeds this year, it could be anyone's race. If it goes to a sprint, look for Rossner (Nurnberger), Melchers, Wood (of course) and even Swiss Champ Priska Doppmann, who has been consistently finishing in the top twenty since her month of warm-weather training in Australia in January.
The World Cup comprises 9 rounds throughout the season.
