115km - San Vincente De La Barquera Anna Ramirez, riding for the Catalana district, took the Spanish road title with style. She broke away to beat a group of 5 chasers by over 5 minutes. Having finished fourth in the Time Trial Championships on Friday, her win showed a determined solo effort to breakaway and then stay away from the bunch. 2003 World Time Trial Champion and Road Race bronze medallist for 2002 and 2003, Joane Somarriba finished at the back of a small group, about 8 minutes down and took 14th place.
