On a hot, but breezy morning, 27 riders rode this event. Using the large course, the event was quickly split into 3 groups due to the pace of Dianne Moss and her Team Luciano team-mates. Julie O'Hagan and the East Midlands team were also active at the front of the race. Meanwhile at the rear Surrey League and Team Milton Keynes were working together to close gaps, whilst racing hard too.

The second bunch were caught in the last lap by the leaders, however, they went straight past and there was no doubt about the winner - Dianne Moss showed her sprinting power and speed to take the race from Helen Gutteridge and Heather Summers. Julie O'Hagan just edged Clara Beard for fourth place.

Judging the race, where some riders were lapped more than once was not easy, but Chuck and Priscilla Beard were, as ever, happy to help out and offered superb assistance to the event by stepping in at the last minute.

Team victory went to Surrey League A - finishing all 6 of their starters. Evans RT were second and East Midlands third. Team Luciano were fourth, but maintain their 200+ point advantage at the top of the overall standings.
