WomensCycling.net - sponsor of the 2003 women's team series (UK)

WomensCycling.net is pleased to announce sponsorship of the 2003 women's team series in the UK. The series, which runs throughout the season,  taking in races in England, Wales, Ireland and, new for 2003, Northern Ireland, is run for teams of 6 riders and is aimed at encouraging novices to take up road racing.

2003 will be the third year of Team Series racing and it has established itself as a major competition for women in the UK. Since its inception in 2000, the series has brought team tactics to many who would otherwise not have experienced them. The series has also given experience of bunch riding and the nuances of the peleton to regular bunches of 50 starters.

Organisers of individual events in the 2003 series will receive a 100 cheque from WomensCycling.net towards their prize list as well as an especially designed programme cover, which will be used at all events in the series. The sponsorship deal makes this series one of the best financed on the UK women's cycling scene and provides exposure for the series via the website. Of course, results and race write-ups will be available here on the site as soon as they are known. In addition, WomensCycling.net will provide exclusive season-long updates and tables showing the current positions in the overall competition.
