Lilian Pfluke battles against cancer

Text . American Masters rider Lilian Pfluke (42) is battling breast cancer. Pfluke who is an American lives in France and is consistently a top finisher in the Masters Worlds in Cyclo-cross, the time trial and on the road. A few weeks before she got the diagnosis she won a gold,silver and 2 bronze medals at the World Games in Melborne (October 2002). She has had successful surgery and now faces chemotherapy and radiation treatment as well as possible surgery. She's determined to beat the cancer and be back on the bike as soon as possible.
