World Cup 2003 Victory to Nicole Cooke
Nicole Cooke became the youngest winner of the season-long World Cup last weekend, when she came 5th in the Rund die Nürnberger Altstadt. Lithuanian adversary, Diana Ziliute (Team Acca Due), won the event. Fifth was enough to guarantee Cooke the overall victory, despite the Rotterdam Tour taking place on the 7th September. Rotterdam is the final event on the World Cup calendar.
World Cup standings before the final event were :
1 N Cooke
2 M Melchers
3 R Schleicher
